If you have policy or procedural questions, we ask that you visit the Barnard College website to review the information provided there.  If you still have questions don’t hesitate to contact the admissions office directly by email  (admissions@barnard.edu) or phone: 1-212-854-2014.

We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully seeing you at one of our admitted student events throughout April (click here for details on these programs)!

  1. Does anyone know if Barnard College is posting the admissions on-line and if so where on the website should we look?

  2. An Admissions Counselor will be able to give you an answer to that question if you call the Office of Admissions.

From what I know of the admissions process, decisions are given via mail only (although if a student does not receive a decision within a reasonable amount of time after the Office sends the decisions, an Admissions Counselor is able to give the student the decision over the phone). I personally don’t know of any online posting, though I think it’s best to call the Office to make sure.

  3. Barnard College chooses not share its admissions decisions online, as we believe it’s important for a student to receive the news in writing.

We send all letters by mail (they were mailed March 21) and we email a copy of the decision letter to any students with international mailing addresses to ensure a timely delivery of the news for all applicants. (Emails were sent on March 25.)

Students who have still not received a decision letter by this weekend may call the office on Monday and request that we resend the letter or give them their decisions over the phone. (Students requesting the latter will be asked to confirm their mailing address and social security number for identification purposes.) Decisions cannot be shared with anyone but the student herself.

Please feel free to call or email the Admission office with any questions:
